Review Summary: A lot of sound for a little money
Review: I just got this set a few days ago and all I can say is: I LOVE THESE FREAKIN THINGS!! I was looking for an upgrade to the built-in speakers on my monitor (and quite frankly, the very cheapest speakers available here would have fit that bill.....yea; they're that bad) but OMFG. I was totaly unprepared for the amount of sound put out by this little package.
Now, some of the reviews here would have you believe that these speakers are not that good for listening to music and they kind of aren't. Depending on the tunes you're listening to, the treble can be a little tinny and there's not a lot of midrange. I personaly dont use my PC as my primary music source anyway so this isn't an issue. I bought these for gaming and WOW, do they do the job!
Explosions are thick and meaty, the staccato sound of small arms fire (or my aircraft's machine guns in IL2) are brilliant. I just got done playing a marathon session of IL2 Sturmovik online and just hearing the sound of my plane's engine rising and falling under the stress of a high G dogfight was a thing to behold (or behear or.....whatever).
In short, let me say this; if you're PC is you're primary music source, you probably won't like this set that much. But if you're a gamer like me, I think you will love these speakers as much as I do. I can't see getting better game audio in a set costing $20 to $30 more (and you can certainly get worse)!

Review Summary: Certainly not great...
Review: On the one hand, I feel like I can't complain because of the price. On the other hand, the person who mentioned tinny, annoying treble, was right. Also right about having to adjust the sound for every song. I wanted these for my mp3 player. Not a good choice- and don't plan on playing them loud. They don't just don't go there. If you like to get blasted out of the room with volume, it ain't gonna happen. On loudness capability, I'd rate 'em about a 1. At a moderate volume, I suppose they're acceptable, but not great. I'm tempted to send them back, but for the price I paid, it probably wouldn't be worth it.

Review Summary: A lot of sound for a small package... and price!
Review: I was very skeptical about buying these speakers because some of the reviews I've seen online about them. I can only say one thing, these speakers are worth the money. The sound is very clear, nice bass, and no distortion at load volumes. I have them hooked up to my TV for a VERY cheap entertainment system! Now granted, they can't compare to my Logitec 5.1, but the price tag can't compare either.

Review Summary: Amazing sound!
Review: I bought these at Wal-mart, not expecting much. I just wanted a step-up from the speakers that came with my computer. I am a bit picky when it comes to listening to music, but I am on a budget. I worked at a radio station and a local TV station for a while, so I know what good quality sound is like.
After plugging in these speakers, I turned off the equalizer from my software, and I just needed to adjust the bass and treble from the speaker knobs. It didn't take much adjusting at all, in about 15 seconds I got it to a setting I liked.
There is one specific music track I use as a benchmark for every set of speakers I test because it has very sharp treble, and very deep bass. The test audio track sounds amazing through these speakers.
I am even happily surprised to note that hulu.com has a great audio quality for its online shows. I had not noticed that with my previous speakers or even with good headphones.
With this set, I noticed, for example, that "Family Guy" on hulu.com has a really good audio track.
I am reading other reviews posted here, and people complain that the quality of these speakers is not so good. I wonder if they are listening to audio files recorded at, or converted to a small bit rate. Something recorded at low-quality will sound horrible with any set of speakers. Also, if you have a bad sound card, no matter what you plug into it, it will not sound good.
