Review: This was a life saver for me. I edit digital video & used all of my memory on my Macbook Pro in a matter of 3 months. I am sure I will need more then the TB that I got. I will defiantly buy another Lacie product.

Review: WOW. Once again Lacie performs to my expectations. I have the older 500gb d2 that is 1.5 esata (not the full speed esata). I use it connected to firewire 800. After I filled this drive and looking for a way to increase my home theatre options...this drive fit the bill with its 1TB capacity.
Just to compare them, I daisy chained them with firewire 800 and copied over a 12GB folder. According to my mac, it would be done in 6 mins.
So then i hooked them up to esata on my macbook pro. 12GB file copied in 3 mins! talk about fast.
So after less than 5 mins I am copying huge folders in almost the time it takes to make a hot pocket in the microwave. I would give it 5 stars, but it seems to be loud when copying from my other drive.

Review: I have several LaCie hard drives. I have not been disappointed in any of them. They work effortlessly with my G5 Mac and my Mac Powerbook. The TB Quadra I can hook up with my Firewire connections or USB 2.0 connections. I haven't used the eSATA connection. But either connections I use it always worked perfectly with my editing, retrieving, and saving video that I work with on a constant basis.

Review: Purchased LaCie product to store my iTunes. Within one week the drive crashed. I called customer support and they refused to help me and honor the warranty. I eventually (year and a half later) reset the entire drive after finding no other option to save or retrieve my files, losing 10,000 songs. I began reloading the library and the system crashed again. LaCie refused to help saying the warranty had expired, but had I purchased one now, they had an extended warranty. Do not mess with LaCie equipment.
