Review Summary: fine for the money
Review: to previous poster---this price does not include a monitor---read the words buddy.
can't speak to the quality issue---only time will tell. But, this is a very nicely equipped computer for the price. the 2 gb memory is just what you need, as 1gb is not enough for vista. only two memory slots, so although this computer will take 4 gb of ram, you'll have to get rid of the two 1gb mem modules and replace with 2 2gb modules if you think you need 4 gb (you don't).
several pci slots open in case you want a decent video card (this is not a gaming machine).
i installed a $35 wireless card---other than that, what do you need?
an even better deal is the acer AM1640U1401A for about $259 to $270 at circuit city with free shipping. add 2 gb memory and a wireless card for about $90 and you have the same as an Aspire M1640-ED2160A for less money. (CC is currently out of the computer, as they sold out in one day---if they get 'em back, go for it.)
