Review Summary: My new BFF
Review: I love this little guy, we've been together for about two months. Keyboard is much easier than the EEE, which was the other contender. I have the white, so the aforementioned fingerprint issues are not a problem on this model. It handles all my internet and light software use with ease, and it is so transportable. Great on a plane. The only complaint is the poor tinny speakers (sound is fine if you put on headphones), which doesn't really bother me. Oh and also "new" yahoo mail wont' work on it, only Yahoo classic.

Review Summary: Acer Aspire - worth the price
Review: The Notebook is so small, it fits snuggly into my bag. It takes up very little space on my desk at school, while others with their regular size laptops have to clear books to make space. It's very practical for my use and with 160GB of memory, wireless and my webcam, I have all that I need.

Review Summary: Minor things, but good stuff.
Review: I have to say, I was on the fence about this one or the ASUS 8.9" netbook. This one was a gift for me for Christmas, so it's still in the evaluation phase. But here's what I can tell you:
- The touchpad is sensitive. I still have yet to get used to all of the functions associated with it... sometimes it's ready to scroll, sometimes it isn't. And one time it zoomed in, though I'm still puzzled on that one.
- The fan does turn on often, and usually stays on for a while. It isn't as loud as some would make it out to be, but it's noticable. (Put it this way... you should be fine in a classroom, but iffy in a library.)
- It IS a dust magnet... unavoidable really.
Good news is that it is very portable, very fast for the processor speed, and has a very clear screen. The on board speakers can get pretty loud. And I like the 2 different SD card reader bays; I actually wanted to take this with me when I go photographing, so it's a big help to be able to view the pics immediately before I leave the site. Also, the battery will keep it running for a long time; somewhere between 5 and 8 hours depending. (I have my brightness down low and screen rez dumbed down a little to save on juice.)
I can't really complain; this thing was mainly my alternative to a kindle. I wanted to get that, but I found out that the Kindle doesn't handle PDFs very well... so I figured for the same $$$ I might as well get a laptop.
So I'm still keeping an eye out for any bumps along the way, but so far it's a handy little machine.

Review Summary: We like it
Review: We are not computer gurus. We bought this for our daughter because it is small and easy to transport. It suits those needs perfectly. We also liked the fact that it uses XP as an operating system, since we've never heard anything good about Vista. The 6-cell battery seems to provide about 5 hours of use. I may have had a hard time adjusting to the keyboard, but she is young and flexible enough that she had no trouble at all.

Review Summary: ACER-ONE
Review: Good product. Crook procedures
The product comes from the factory with its own case.
In 2 out of 3 orders, this original case was taken out of the package because I decided to accept their offer and bought under separate order a carrying case for which I paid $ 25 additional/each
I am expecting Amazon.com or whomever is resposible, to send me the carrying case that was supposed to come included in the original package with the notebook.
