Symmetry??? Somebody Call Bill Gates PLEASE.
Love my keyboard. But my right arm is too short to use it most effectively. Centered on my lap, my hands naturally end up over the J thru F (left hand) and over the colon thru nothing (right hand)… how about keeping the curves… keeping the angles… BUT put the keyboard exactly in the center??? So simple. Then add a touch pad (keep a USB port on the side for the hard core mousers) in the center closest to the body for ease in moving the pointer on screen without having to lift hands off the keyboard. Then above that, again centered… enter, above that delete, above that insert… THEN below the touch pad… the 4 arrows centered of course… to the left of the arrows HOME and to the right of arrows END (logical). Try to position page up and page down vertically in a handy location… like top center between the function keys which will end up split so there will be room. Lastly integrate the numberical keyboard on the right side (since most folks are right handed… and then manage it with a round ‘num lock’ key that lights up to indicate clearly when it’s on BUT is also so far out of the way you don’t accidentally hit it all of the time… same with the insert key… light it up… widen the shift key… it’s sad to miss it and hit control instead over and over… perhaps elevate it a bit over the surrounding keys… then make the whole keyboard so it’s got some kind of a non-slip base that doesn’t slide around on the lap… rubbery snap on and off… maybe choice of colors… on the keyboard tilt… center front should be highest point… center back mid height… back two corners lowest point… front two corners mid heigth… attachment or sliding mechanism base near the front for those who want to customize the tilt… and there it is… the perfect keyboard… symmetrical and ergonomic…
. Now please just hire me before you manufacture any more useless stuff… I can save you the trouble. Please, Somebody call Bill Gates, because I know he will want me on staff. Peace, Patricia
